Barbara Rakov Client Services Coordinator / Facility Assistant Barbara’s smiling face is the first one you’ll see when you walk through the doors of Montville Physical Therapy!  Excellent at multitasking, Barbara gracefully manages the roles of both Client Services Coordinator and Facility Assistant – there’s nothing she can’t do!  Barbara’s favorite part of working at MPT is the people she meets. From preparing treatment areas to making sure every patient has their preferred appointment time, she loves the time she spends making patients feel welcome and comfortable. She has even been known to grab a TheraBand and do some exercises with our patients! Barbara graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in French and English, allowing her already-wonderful communication skills to really blossom.  After graduation she worked in the management program at Sears, and then spent 19 successful years as a licensed real estate broker.  Barbara’s wealth of experience and heartfelt dedication to customer service have made her a fantastic addition to our team. When Barbara isn’t at MPT, you can find her hiking in the Ramapo reservation, going swimming, or reading a great book.  She loves to travel, whether it’s to Southern France or a Florida beach.  She also is passionate about cooking and baking – maybe if we’re lucky she’ll bring in a dish of her famous chicken piccata for patients and associates to enjoy!  Barbara loves trying new recipes, so if you have a favorite, be sure to stop by and trade recipes with her.  She’s even creating her own cookbook, so who knows – your recipe may one day be famous!
