Dr. Matthew
Allen PT, DPT Dr. Allen is a great personification of the strength and energy of our clinical team, as an avid power lifter who holds a national record in his age and weight group. He became interested in physical therapy in high school, where as a student athlete he injured his knee playing football. Because of his experiences as a patient, he has always enjoyed helping athletes get back in the game! Today, athletes and patients with sports related ailments love coming to Matt to get better, since he really understands what it’s like to be sidelined due to an injury! After graduating with high honors from Kean University with a degree in Psychology, Matt went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UMDNJ, where he excelled academically in orthopedic physical therapy for both the spine and extremities. After many successful clinical internships, Matt began his career at the New Jersey Center of Physical Therapy. After several great years, Matt decided to move to work with Dr. Skripak at Montville Physical Therapy, and is excited for the opportunity to strengthen an already powerful team! When he’s not busy treating patients of all ages, Matt loves working hard, both in the gym and at his profession. Currently he is working towards several advanced physical therapy certifications. Matt is also a devoted Mets and Giants fan who will never jump ship, despite some of his co-workers’ efforts to convince him otherwise! He currently resides in East Brunswick with his wife Jaime. |
